conpeo is software for places people come back to. This is the shortest honest statement of what that means and what it rules out.
The thing itself
A host runs something that recurs — a run club on Tuesdays, a reformer class, an evening in a shop after closing. People come once. Some of them come again. The ones who keep coming stop being customers and start being regulars, and that is a different relationship with different economics.
What we build is the part between the sessions: who was there, who has not been for a while, and what a host does with that.
What we measure, and what it is not
We count returns. We are explicit that returns are a leading indicator and never the outcome.
That distinction is the whole discipline. A room that fills up is not by itself a business result, and a tool that treats attendance as the win will eventually optimise for attendance at the expense of the thing attendance was a sign of. We would rather show a host a smaller true number than a larger flattering one.
What we are not building
A feed. There is no place here to scroll. The product's job is to get people into a room, not to hold them in an app.
A points programme. No tiers, no streaks, no badge for turning up eleven times. The reasoning is in a separate post; the short version is that obligation and belonging pull against each other.
A replacement for Instagram or Strava. We are not competing for the hour someone spends on those. We are useful in a narrow window either side of an evening that happens in person.
An all-in-one platform. That framing competes with free tools on price and describes us as a coordination utility forever. It is also an overclaim.
Where we actually are
No pilots are running. No hosts are signed. We have not yet done the interview round that would test most of what we believe about the people we are building for.
We are writing that down because this site will make claims over time, and the value of any of them depends on us having been straight about the starting point. When there is evidence, it will appear here with its method attached — including the results that go against us.
If you run something recurring and any of this sounds like your problem, the pricing page says what it costs, including what is not finished yet.
